Services

Senior Support in Action is a program that connects socially isolated seniors in Benton and Washington counties to their community through volunteer support. Services include:

  • Telephone calls
  • Friendly visits
  • Transportation
  • Chore assistance
  • Yard work
  • Deliveries
  • Written notes
  • Assistance with reading bills and paperwork
  • Grocery shopping

    Senior Support in Action relies on a strong network of volunteers to provide services to seniors. By working with Senior Support in Action, volunteers take an active role in improving Northwest Arkansas through social action. Volunteer time is very flexible. Program coordinators work with volunteers to identify projects that fit their schedule and time commitment.     Clients

    Senior Support in Action provides non-medical support services for adults aged 60 and older. If you need a little help in your home from time to time, you may benefit from the assistance of Senior Support in Action. Senior Support in Action volunteers can drive you to appointments, help with grocery shopping, sit for a friendly visit, assist with simple home maintenance, and perform minor home repairs.     Support Senior Support in Action

    Operations and programming are funded by individual and corporate gifts and grants. These gifts make it possible for Senior Support in Action to provide services at no charge to our clients. If you’d like to make a donation, please click here.

    If you’d like to purchase items for the Senior Support in Action food, essential household item and personal care product pantry, you can do so from one of the following registries. The items will be delivered directly to the Senior Support in Action pantry space.

    We are closed New Year's Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving (Thursday and Friday) and Christmas Day.
