Overview

  • We provide a compassionate, state-of-the-art evaluation and treatment of movement disorders in patients over 65.
  • We provide evaluation and management of Parkinson’s disease and Huntington’s disease in adult patients of all ages.
  • We have a multidisciplinary team for evaluation of eligible patients on their first visit.

Our Team

  • The Movement Disorder team consists of a neurologist, neuropsychologist, social workers, nurses and therapists.

Services Offered

  • Evaluation and management of movement disorders, which include: Blepharospasm, Hemifacial spasm, Dystonia, Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s disease.
  • Psychosocial assessment
  • Supportive & educational services
  • "Restore and Revive Parkinson's Support Group" for those living with the disease as well as their caregivers, meets on the third Thursday of every month at HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital in Fayetteville, AR. For more details, click here to go to the events calendar page.
  • Neuroimaging & laboratory services
  • Neurotoxin therapy (Myobloc®, Botox®)

Treatment

  • Referral from primary care preferred.
  • Social worker performs psychosocial assessment.
  • Multidisciplinary team develops a comprehensive, tailored report including diagnostic impressions and treatment recommendations.
  • Results are sent back to the primary physician.

  • Patients over 65 years of age with movement disorders.
  • Patients with Parkinson’s or Huntington’s Disease

Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

After Hours

If you have a medical problem that cannot wait until the next business day, Washington Regional has two Urgent Care locations: in Fayetteville, located at 3 E Appleby Road Suite 101, open Monday-Sunday 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.; and in Johnson, located at 3561 Johnson Mill Blvd Suite 102, open Monday-Saturday 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. If you need to reach an on call provider call 479-463-1000 to have to hospital operator page the physician on call.
