24/7 Care

If you have a medical problem that cannot wait until the next business day, Washington Regional has Urgent Care locations throughout Northwest Arkansas. If you need to reach a provider after hours, please call 479.463.1000 and ask to speak to the physician on call

Appointments

Most appointments are scheduled in advance either by the referring physician or by the patient directly. Each patient’s visit will differ depending on the nature and complexity of the problem. Most patients are seen at least once after surgery. This will either be arranged when surgery is scheduled or we will call you after your surgery to get you scheduled.

For your first appointment, you will need to bring your insurance cards, photo ID and completed paperwork. New patient consultations are not assigned to one specific provider. If you have a specific request, please notify our office in advance. Please be prepared to give a urine sample and to have a quick topical ultrasound scan of your bladder while you are here.

If you are unable to keep your appointment time, we request you call as soon as possible to reschedule or cancel.

Please keep in mind that we are a surgical clinic and our physicians are called to the operating room emergently at times. In such a case, we will do our best to see our patients in a timely fashion, reschedule or have another provider see you.

Scheduling Surgery

After you have met with the surgeon and it is decided you need a surgical procedure, you will meet with one of our nurses. You will then be given a surgery appointment and informed of when and where to arrive for surgery. If you have what is deemed to be a surgical emergency, surgery can be scheduled that same day.

Pre and Post Operation Questions

Our nurses are available during office hours to answer most questions. If you need to speak with your surgeon, the nurses will contact the surgeon and forward your message. In most cases, the nurse will respond with the answer. If necessary, your physician will call you directly with more information. At night (after 5:00 PM) and on the weekends, one of our surgeons is always available through the Washington Regional Medical Center Operator at 479.463.1000 to address concerns.

Prescription Refill

Patients who take prescription medications are advised to adhere to the schedule of lab and office visits recommended by their doctor. Please bring your medications, or a list of them, to your office visit and ask your doctor to write refills for medications at that time. However, if you need a refill between office visits, please call your pharmacy a minimum of 2-3 days prior to running out. In order to have a prescription refilled, you must have been seen within a year.

Medical Records

A medical request signed by the patient is required to send or release records to anyone. If you are requesting a copy of your records, there may be an additional fee.

Financial Requirements

We accept self-pay and most major insurances, including Medicare and Medicaid. You should have your insurance card available at all appointments. Copays, deductibles and/or co-insurance must be paid at time of service. We accept cash, checks and credit/debit cards (Visa, MasterCard and Discover).
