Cardiac Ablation

Cardiac ablation is a minimally invasive procedure that is used to correct heart rhythm (arrhythmia) problems. Ablation destroys or scars tissue in your heart that causes the arrhythmia by introducing heat or extreme cold. The procedure is done by inserting a catheter into a vein or artery in the groin and directing it to the heart.
