Memory Disorders Clinic
The Washington Regional Memory Disorders Clinic, an outpatient department of Washington Regional Medical Center, offers a compassionate and comprehensive approach to diagnosing and treating disorders of memory. We are committed to assisting our patients and their care partners through a variety of ongoing education and support services.
Our Team
Our interdisciplinary team includes members from a variety of related disciplines including neuropsychology, geriatrics, neurology, social work, and nursing. All members of our team have specialized training in geriatrics and disorders of memory.
Treatment
- The Memory Disorders Clinic is available for self referral and by physician referral.
- Following the evaluation process, a comprehensive report including diagnostic impressions and treatment recommendations are forwarded to the referring provider.
- An individually tailored packet of diagnostic and supportive information is provided to the patient and family.
Services
- Evaluation, management and treatment of patients with memory difficulties, cognitive related problems, and memory disorders including Alzheimer’s disease (AD), dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB), frontotemporal dementia (FTD), mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and vascular dementia (VaD)
- Neuropsychological, geriatric and psychosocial assessments
- Neuroimaging
- Medication review
- Supportive education and resources for patients and care partners
Who May Benefit
- Any patient suspected of having memory difficulties or other cognitive-related problems.
- This includes patients with gradually progressive short-term memory loss, increased word-finding difficulty, and decreased attention/concentration.
- Ongoing support and education services will continue to be offered to the patient and care partner(s) as needed.

Payment
- We accept Medicare assignment and other recognized plans.
- If you have both Medicare and supplemental insurance, the entire evaluation is usually covered.
