Roundtree Promoted to Vice President of Surgical Services

James Roundtree, MBA, BSN, RN, CNOR, has been promoted to Vice President of Surgical Services at Washington Regional Medical Center. In this role, Roundtree will have oversight of all operating rooms, peri-operative services, post anesthesia care unit, sterile processing, surgery scheduling, and associated clinical education. 

Roundtree joined Washington Regional in early 2017 serving first as Clinical Director of Surgical Services and later as Director of Surgical Services at Washington Regional. His professional experience also includes leadership roles in vascular surgery, urology, robotics and kidney transplants at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Bedford, Texas, Baptist Health-Fort Smith (formerly Sparks Health System,) St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, and Oklahoma University Medical Center in Oklahoma City.

Roundtree earned an Associate of Science in Nursing from Labette Community College in Parsons, Kansas, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Business Administration from Oklahoma Wesleyan University. He also earned the designation of certified operating room nurse and was active in the Army Reserve for eight years including one year at West Point Military Hospital, achieving the rank of Captain.
