Pinkerton Earns Stroke Care Certification

Kasha Pinkerton, BSN, RN, Stroke Program Coordinator at Washington Regional Medical Center, recently earned the Stroke Certified Registered Nurse credential through the American Board of Neuroscience Nursing. To earn this designation, SCRNs must meet certain eligibility requirements and pass a nationally administered exam.

Pinkerton, who joined Washington Regional in 2014, graduated from the University of Texas - Arlington with a bachelor’s degree in nursing and credentials as a registered nurse. She also earned an associate’s degree in nursing from the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith. Washington Regional, which is certified as a Primary Stroke Center, has provided care for more than 700 stroke patients in the past year.
