Binz Recognized for Achievements in Pharmacotherapy, Antimicrobial Stewardship

Jonathan Binz, a clinical pharmacist at Washington Regional Medical Center, recently achieved two professional distinctions. He earned the designation of Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist by meeting certain eligibility requirements and passing a nationally administered exam. Binz also earned an Antimicrobial Stewardship Certificate from the Society of Infectious Diseases Pharmacists by completing a training program focusing on the pharmacist’s role in the appropriate use of antimicrobial agents.

Binz, who joined Washington Regional in 2016, graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Arkansas Tech University and earned a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Pharmacy. He completed a residency in pharmacy practice at Moses H. Cone Hospital in Greensboro, N.C.
