24/7 Care
If you have a medical problem that cannot wait until the next business day, Washington Regional has Urgent Care locations throughout Northwest Arkansas. If you need to reach a provider after hours, please call 479.463.1000 and ask to speak to the physician on call.
Appointments
Most appointments are scheduled in advance either by the referring physician or by the patient directly. Each patient’s visit will differ depending on the nature and complexity of the problem. Most patients are seen at least once after surgery. This will be arranged when surgery is scheduled.
For your first appointment, you will need to bring your insurance cards, photo ID, and completed paperwork.
If you are unable to keep your appointment time, we request you call as soon as possible to reschedule or cancel.
Scheduling Surgery
After you have met with the surgeon and it is decided you need a surgical procedure, you will meet with our scheduling coordinator. You will be given a surgery appointment and informed when and where to arrive for surgery. Most surgeries can be scheduled as early as the next day or within a few days. If you have what is deemed to be a surgical emergency, surgery can be scheduled that same day.
Pre and Post Operation Questions
Our nurses are available during office hours to answer most questions. If you need to speak with your surgeon, the nurses will contact the surgeon and forward your message. In most cases, the nurse will respond with the answer. If necessary, your physician will call you directly with more information. At night (after 5:00 PM) and on the weekends, one of our surgeons is always available through the Washington Regional Medical Center Operator at 479.463.1000 to address concerns.
Prescription Medication
In most instances you will need prescription pain medicine after your surgery. Your surgeon will provide a prescription either at your initial visit or, usually, at the time of surgery..
Medical Records
A medical request signed by the patient is required to send or release records to anyone.
Financial Requirements
We accept most major insurances. You should have your insurance card available at all appointments. Copays, deductibles and/or co-insurance must be paid at time of service. If you are not covered by a health insurance plan, payment is due for an office appointment at the time of service. Financial arrangements need to be made prior to surgery being scheduled. We accept cash, checks and credit/debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover).
