Our Provider


  • Integrative Medicine Consultations for women using integrative, functional and conventional medicine techniques to evaluate the patient’s overall health and provide a personalized care plan to help restore optimal health and balance. The consultation includes two appointments:
    • First appointment involves an extensive assessment of all aspects of health – mind, body and spirit; lab work and testing can be ordered based on specific symptoms and history
    • One follow-up appointment involves a review of test results and a personalized care plan for the patient with recommendations to support optimal wellness, including lifestyle, nutritional, supplemental and botanical, mind-body and other evidence-based forms of alternative and conventional medicine
  • Follow-up appointments are available after the initial Integrative Medicine Consultation to monitor progress, review and interpret labs, and discuss recommendations for nutrition, fitness, mental health, sexual health, hormonal support, sleep, life purpose counseling and more, depending on the patient’s personal health goals.
  • Areas of consultation include: Optimization of overall health, nutrition, hormonal health, digestive/gut health, autoimmune disease, thyroid disease, adrenal dysfunction, sleep hygiene and insomnia, PMS and PMDD, anxiety and depression, perimenopause/menopause, polycystic ovarian syndrome, endometriosis, fibroids, irregular/painful periods, preconception/postpartum health and infertility, stress management and burnout prevention/treatment, mental wellbeing, irritable and inflammatory bowel disease, sexual health, longevity and cognitive health, cancer risk reduction, and integrative cancer support.


The clinic is open 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday and 7:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. on Friday.


We are closed New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving (Thursday and Friday), Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Inclement Weather

Please check local television stations and/or their websites for announcements regarding clinic closures due to inclement weather. Patients should call the clinic before coming in during inclement weather.


In case of an emergency, please call 911 or go to your nearest hospital emergency room.

Prescription Refill

Prescription refills are available for patients who are followed regularly by Dr. Markell.

Medical Records

A medical request signed by the patient is required to send or release records to anyone. If you are requesting a copy of your records, there may be an additional fee.

Financial Requirements

The clinic does not accept insurance, and fees must be paid at time of service. We accept cash, checks, debit cards and credit cards (Visa, MasterCard and Discover). Some integrative health services may be reimbursable under a health reimbursement account (HRA), health savings account (HSA) or flexible spending account (FSA); however, it is the patient’s responsibility to check with their plan administrator to determine what expenses are covered.
