Swearingen Achieves Pharmacotherapy Certification

Sara Swearingen, clinical pharmacist at Washington Regional Medical Center, recently achieved the designation of Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist. Pharmacists with a BCPS designation must meet certain eligibility requirements and pass a nationally administered exam.

Swearingen, who joined Washington Regional this year, attended the University of Central Arkansas and earned a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. She completed a residency in pharmacy practice at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. Swearingen previously was a staff pharmacist at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home.
