Dr. Amy Scott, who has been providing OB/GYN care at HerHealth Clinic since 2013, enjoys the long-term relationships she gets to build with her patients. She considers it a privilege to follow patients throughout their lives, adapting their health care to their changing life stages.

Dr. Scott earned her medical degree and completed her OB/GYN residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. The services she offers at HerHealth Clinic include gynecological exams, prenatal care, routine and high-risk deliveries, infertility treatments, birth control — including oral contraceptive pills, IUDs, subdermal implants and tubal ligation — and treatment for conditions such as abnormal pap smears, irregular or heavy periods and endometriosis. Surgical services include laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, hysterectomy, endometrial ablation and minimally invasive procedures.

Taking care of pregnant women is a particular happiness for Dr. Scott because of the joy created by the birth of a healthy baby. At HerHealth Clinic, each OB/GYN strives to follow her own patients throughout the duration of a pregnancy and to be there for their delivery.

Describing herself as “direct and honest, yet always caring, compassionate and non-judgmental,” Dr. Scott wants to help her patients feel confident and validated in their lifestyle decisions. She understands that women feel more confident in their health when they have reassurance.

When she’s not with her patients, Dr. Scott can often be found — along with her husband and son — cheering enthusiastically at University of Arkansas sporting events or playing with the family’s two dogs.
