Men’s Health Awareness Month

Men’s Health Awareness Month is observed each June to bring awareness to both physical and mental health concerns that are unique to men, but it’s important that men not ignore their health the rest of the year, says Dr. Robert Grand, a urologist at Washington Regional Ozark Urology.

“Eating the right foods, staying physically active and getting enough sleep — these are all things that men can do on a daily basis to stay healthy and to prevent some things that can affect them later on,” Grand says. “A lot of age-related health conditions can be prevented just by lifestyle choices.”

The Ozark Urology team provides diagnosis and treatment for men’s health concerns such as:

  • Prostate problems
  • Age-related hormonal changes
  • Lack of energy
  • Testosterone level
  • Intimacy problems
  • Prostate and testicular cancer

“At Ozark Urology, we have a very comprehensive list of treatments that we can offer for these concerns,” Grand says, “as well as a pathway to help figure out, first, if this is something that would require treatment, and second, what is the best treatment option. Is it going to be medical treatment, lifestyle changes or, if needed, some sort of procedure or surgery?”

To make an appointment or to learn more about Washington Regional’s Ozark Urology Clinic, call 479.404.1100 or visit Ozark Urology. The clinic also accepts walk-ins. “If you have any questions about your health or you would like to sit down and just have a discussion about something you’re not sure about, feel free to contact us,” Grand says.
