Mullins Named Emergency Department Director

Danita Mullins, MSN, RN, was recently named Emergency Department Director at Washington Regional Medical Center. Her areas of responsibility include daily administrative and clinical leadership of the Emergency Department, which provides the area’s highest level of emergency care as a Level 2 Trauma Center.

Mullins previously served as Assistant Director of the Emergency Department and as Chest Pain Center Coordinator for Washington Regional. She earned a Master of Science degree in nursing with emphasis in leadership in healthcare systems from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Union College in Lincoln, Neb. She is a Certified Emergency Nurse and Certified Cardiovascular Care Coordinator.

A former Arkansas state council president for the Emergency Nurses Association, Mullins currently serves as government affairs chair for the organization’s state board of directors. She is also a member of the American Nurses Association and Sigma Theta Tau nursing honor society. Mullins is active in the American Heart Association as the Washington Regional facility organizer and team captain for the AHA Heart Walk.
