Caldwell Achieves Certified Nutrition Support Clinician

Mary Caldwell, MS, RD, LD, CNSC, a clinical dietitian at Washington Regional Medical Center, recently achieved certification as a Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC) by the National Board of Nutrition Support Certification. To earn this designation dietitians must complete a comprehensive written exam on nutrition support.

Nutrition support is a specialized practice that requires the expertise and knowledge of multiple healthcare professionals including physicians, dietitians, pharmacists, physician assistants, and nurses. Certified professionals are recognized as quality providers of nutrition support by the public, their colleagues, other members of the healthcare team, and administrators. Mary is joined by 4,800 others worldwide who have earned CNSC. 

Caldwell, who has been with Washington Regional for ten years, graduated from the University of Central Arkansas with her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in dietetics and completed her dietetic internship at Southern Regional Medical Center. She is a member of the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition.
