Hospice is a specialized health care program designed to meet the needs of patients and their families when faced with a terminal illness. Washington Regional Hospice offers numerous services to patients and their families to prioritize quality of life and safety at home.
- End-of-life care provided in patient’s home, nursing home or assisted living community
- Inpatient care available at Willard Walker Hospice Home for patients whose symptoms cannot be managed at home
- Pain and symptom management
- Medications required for illness management
- Medical equipment and supplies delivered to home
- Personal care assistance from hospice aides for bathing, dressing, toileting and other typical activities of daily living
- Social services to assist the patient and family in coping with the social, emotional and practical challenges at the end of life
- Spiritual care to assist the patient and family in coping with spiritual questions and providing referrals to specific faith leaders if applicable
- Bereavement services including individualized counseling and group support after the loss of a loved one
- Respite care at the Willard Walker Hospice Home to allow caregivers to rest, recuperate and take care of themselves
- Trained volunteer support to provide conversation and companionship, assist with light chores and run small errands as needed

We accept most insurance plans and care for anyone in the community, regardless of ability to pay.
