The UAMS/Washington Regional Neurology Residency Program was created to develop highly skilled, empathetic, professional and resilient physicians who excel in the practice of neurology while providing care to the communities of Northwest Arkansas. The program welcomed its first class of residents in 2026.

Residents receive training at Washington Regional Medical Center’s state-of-the-art facilities in Fayetteville, Arkansas, under the supervision of faculty members who are dedicated to providing excellent patient care while training the next generation of neurology providers.

The Neurology Residency Program is structured to support two residents per class, allowing for individualized support and mentorship. The partnership between the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and Washington Regional provides residents with the benefits of being part of a health sciences university and opportunities to practice in a community hospital.
