Women and Infants Center

Washington Regional's Women and Infants Center provides enhanced services to meet the growing needs of area families. The five-story, 132,800-square-foot patient tower serves the community with:

Ground level (27,500 square feet) features:
+ Registration area for patients of the Women and Infants Center
+ HerHealth Women’s Clinic
+ Parkhill Clinic for Women

Level 1 (28,500 square feet) features:
+ 13 triage stations
+ 28 private mother-baby rooms, including 6 antepartum rooms with fetal monitoring capability for extended-stay obstetric patients, with fetal monitors and infant warmers
+ 17 Labor & Delivery rooms
+ Labor & Delivery family waiting area
+ Team room where patients can meet with multidisciplinary care team for discharge instructions and guidance
+ Sandwich counter open to public

Level 2 (25,600 square feet) features:
+ Care for Gynecology patients and Pediatrics patients
+ Exam rooms for pediatric procedures and gynecological exams
+ Family waiting area
+ Team room that can be used by Pediatrics patients who have long hospital stays - allows for tutoring or catching up on schoolwork
+ Xbox One gaming consoles for Pediatrics patients

Level 3 (25,600 square feet) features:
+ 34-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit – the largest in Northwest Arkansas and providing the highest level of care available in the region for fragile newborns
+ Private patient rooms that allow parents to stay with their newborn while in the NICU
+ Twins/Multiples rooms
+ 2 open-bay NICU areas with viewing window  
+ NICU parent lounge provides lockers, showers and sleep chairs
+ Angel Eye cameras that allow families to easily view their baby when they have to be away from the bedside
+ Milk Lab, staffed by specially trained technologists, that provides a centralized location for storing moms’ expressed breast milk, as well as a sterile preparation space for adding any extra nutrients an infant might need
+ Dedicated pharmacy - for patients of Women and Infants Center
+ Family waiting area

Level 4 features (25,600 square feet) features:
+ Education rooms for community classes such as breastfeeding support, daddy boot camp, sibling class and infant CPR, as well as staff specialty training
+ Lactation consulting rooms
+ Ronald McDonald House

Top of building features (400 square feet for elevator area):
+ Washington Regional’s second helipad




The new Women and Infants Center includes Northwest Arkansas’ first Ronald McDonald House, a place for families to find the extra support and comfort they need while their child is hospitalized. The 5,600-square-foot space features:
+ six overnight guest rooms with private baths
+ living room
+ playroom
+ dining room
+ laundry room
+ kitchen with fully stocked pantry
