This dedicated unit at Washington Regional Medical Center offers detailed patient education and a specialized team of surgeons and staff, all focused exclusively on helping joint replacement patients maintain their functional independence and improve their quality of life. At the Total Joint Center, patient education and support begins as soon as joint replacement is scheduled and continues through surgery and the entire recovery process.
The Total Joint Center at WRMC is an active participant in Project Joints, a program recommended by the Institute for Healthcare Improvement; utilizing evidence based preventive practices recommended to reduce the occurrence of post-operative infection.
