Hospice is a special healthcare program designed to meet the needs of patients and families who are faced with a life-limiting illness. We know it is important for many patients to be able to stay at their home as long as possible. The hospice goals are to assist the patient in living as comfortably and fully as possible at home. To achieve this goal, the hospice team offers a variety of services to both patients and their families.
The service area for Washington Regional Hospice includes Arkansas patients and families residing within a 50-mile radius of Fayetteville. A typical patient base may include people from Benton, Madison and Washington counties. In-home care constitutes over 90% of current operations.

Certification
Washington Regional Hospice is a member of the National Hospice Organization and the Arkansas State Hospice Association. It is certified by the State of Arkansas and the Joint Commission for Accreditation of Health Care Organizations.
Payment
Payment is available for hospice services through Medicare, Medicaid and many private insurance policies. Patients with limited or no payment source may request funds from Washington Regional Friends of Hospice to pay for services.

Washington Regional Hospice is a nonprofit organization that has been serving the needs of the terminally ill and their families since 1985. Patients are admitted and treated without regard to race, color, national origin, handicap or age.
Friends of Washington Regional Hospice
Friends of Washington Regional Hospice is an auxiliary group committed to raising funds to support Washington Regional's hospice program. Through the group's support and contributions, Washington Regional Hospice is able to help patients, their families and others find comfort and satisfaction in living, and peace in death and dying.
