Larry Armstrong, D.O. FACOS, FACS 
Brain Tumor, Cerebrovascular and Spine Surgery
Dr. Armstrong earned his medical degree from the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth and completed a residency at Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Armstrong also completed a fellowship at the University of Arizona Health Sciences Center in Tucson. He is board certified in neurosurgery.
 
Brandon Evans, M.D. 
Brain Tumor, Cerebrovascular and Spine Surgery
Dr. Evans received his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine at Oklahoma City, and he completed his residency at UCLA, where he was Chief Resident. Dr. Evans is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and Congress of Neurological Surgeons – Section on Tumors.
 
John Barr, M.D.
Complex Spine, Cerebrovascular and Brain Tumor Surgery
Dr. Barr earned his medical degree at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He completed a residency in neurosurgery at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School. In addition, Dr. Barr completed a spine fellowship at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. He is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons and AO Spine Society.
 
Mayshan Ghiassi, M.D.
Endovascular, Cerebrovascular, Brain Tumor/Skull Base and Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery
Dr. Mayshan Ghiassi earned his medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, where he also completed a residency in neurological surgery as well as advanced fellowship training in endovascular neurosurgery. He received additional training with an Academy Fellowship at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Md. He specializes in the treatment of vascular and neoplastic lesions of the brain and spine including aneurysms, AVMs, tumors, carotid disease and acute treatment of stroke. Dr. Ghiassi also has advanced training in the treatment of complex spinal disorders including deformity correction and minimally invasive spine surgery. He is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, Society of NeuroInterventional Surgery, American Stroke Association and Southern Neurosurgical Society.
 
Mahan Ghiassi, M.D.

Dr. Mahan Ghiassi earned his medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, where he also completed a residency in neurological surgery as well as advanced fellowship training in endovascular neurosurgery. Dr. Mayshan Ghiassi and Dr. Mahan Ghiassi are co-directors of the Cerebrovascular & Endovascular program at Washington Regional.
