Personal Training Personal Training is one-on-one training between the client and a trainer to meet the fitness needs and goals of the client. The trainer will prescribe a personal exercise plan for the client and provide instruction in proper mechanics, feedback, and encouragement to the client. Emphasis is placed on achieving the client's individual goals.
Water Fitness Training This is a great way to boost your current exercise program or to start a new program. Whether you are looking for a low impact or a high intensity workout, water programs are fun and can be designed to meet your individual goals and needs. A water trainer will meet with you and inquire about your personal goals and then create a program as well as teach you the exercises.
Group Water Fitness Training Group water fitness training is very much like individual water fitness training except it involves 2-4 members all possessing similar goals. This group must commit to 2-3 work-outs together per week. Please contact Robert Rose, Pool Coordinator, for more details and information.
Functional Training Functional Training involves complex multi-joint movements of the upper body, core, and lower body in each exercise. These movements improve coordination and proper stimulation of muscular "firing" patterns. With functional training activities of daily living or sports skills are mimicked. This training prepares the body to react and function better and more efficiently in any environment or situation. Our personal trainers are prepared to design an exercise program for you that will get you past a fitness or skill plateau.
The Pool Area The pools are available to members only. The larger pool is heated to 88 degrees and is equipped for lap swimming, water exercising and water walking. The smaller pool is heated to 95 degrees and used for water exercising and stretching. Both pools are handicapped accessible.
