Washington Regional has a special care unit for heart patients:  the Cardiac Care Unit (CCU).  Equipped with the latest medical devices and technologies, this unit is staffed with cardiac nurses and trained personnel that monitor a patient's heart and overall condition 24 hours a day.  For families and relatives, we offer a special CCU waiting room located near the unit while a loved one is in surgery. 

We provide on going support and education to patients and families who are undergoing surgery and the subsequent recovery.
